Randy Shaffer is a Registered Representative and Investment Advisory Representative with FSC Securities Corporation where he offers securities and investment advisory services. FSC Securities is one of the largest independent broker/dealer firms in the country. Randy has been affiliated with FSC Securities for the past twenty years. He offers traditional insurance products through Funkhouser Shaffer Financial Services. Prior to becoming a financial advisor, Randy was a General Manager with American General Life and Accident with tenure of over twenty years.
Randy grew up in the Crawford County area and graduated with a BA degree from Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania. His industry designations include the Certified Financial Planner™ professional certification (CFP®), the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), and the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU). His securities registrations include the Series 7, Series 6, and Series 63 and is insurance licensed in Life and Fixed Annuities, Accident and Health, and Variable Life/Variable Annuities.
Randy is a member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, and Kingdom Advisors. In addition to industry involvement, Randy is a member of New Beginnings Church of God, where he has served in previous leadership roles for many years.
Randy's hobbies and interests include building and flying control line model airplanes where he is an active member of the Bean Hill Flyers. He enjoys exercising, riding his motorcycle, and cruising with his wife, Mary, in their 1970 Torino.
Randy and his wife, Mary, reside in Saegertown, PA with their dog, Bandit. They have four children and four grandchildren with which they enjoy spending time with.
Qualifying membership in the MDRT is based on minimum commission and gross business generated within a year. Each MDRT status designation is granted for one year only. All members must apply every year to continue their affiliation with the Million Dollar Round Table.
